Dunbar cleans up

The Dunbar Team put on a strong showing this week end at the Rat Race in Roberts Creek on the Sunshine Coast this weekend with thirteen team riders in attendance. Out of the thirteen riders we clinched a total on nine podiums in the various categories and four riders in the top ten fastest times of the day!

The course was dry and prime, with gorgeous loose berms in the upper open section, root mine-fields through out the wooded section which forced riders to pump n' gap for maximum preservation of that critical momentum. The flat sections of the course still hurt like hell to pedal and pump through, but compared to the wet years gone by, keeping speed was a bit more pleasant this year.

Full results can be found here:

A big thanks to the organizers and trail builders at Sunshine Coast. It's up there as one of the best race venues of the year!

Bikes recovered, crooks in jail!

Kamloops RCMP have arrested two men and seized a large amount of stolen property, which includes the bikes stolen from Team Dunbar. The bikes have not been returned yet as there is a lot of paper work and fact checking to happen first, but we hope the team will have their bikes back this week.

Pipeline Indoor 4X Round #4

The 4th round of the Pipeline Indoor 4X series went down last Wednesday (30th Jan '08) with another strong turnout. Jerusha Millar and myself made it out to compete, with Jerusha taking 1st in the consolation round, and myself taking 2nd to Chris Buckrell of 611 in the mens open final. This race was the first double points event of the season, which helps shake up the overall standings a bit, and helps some people short on points to get back in contention for the overall. The next race is on the 13th of February and is well worth a visit especially given that all lower mainland trails are currently snowed out!

Check out Matt Stevens full race report here.

Pipeline Indoor 4X first night

The first Pipeline Indoor 4X race meet of this year went down last night near the Abbotsford Agrifair Arena. I made it out to two race nights last year, and every time it's a blast. The number of competitors was way up this year for the first night.

It's well worth the trip out, the next race meet is on the 12th of December. Check out http://www.pipelinebikepark.com/ for more information.

Here's a video of the Open Mens final, in which I hacked my way to a third spot placing. :)
